EXIT Realty Pledges A Half Million Dollars to Habitat for Humanity

EXIT Realty Corp. International has pledged $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity International in 2015, bringing its total pledges to $2.5 million to date.

More than 1 billion people worldwide live in urban slums and in the U.S. alone, 45.3 million people live in poverty. Habitat for Humanity believes that every person should have a decent and affordable place to live and through their world-wide network of volunteers, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing.

“A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is pledged to Habitat,” says Christine Ireborg, EXIT Realty’s liaison with the organization. “To-date we have contributed both financially and with volunteer hours towards 19 home builds, the majority of which benefited families led by single-mothers. We’ve participated in a community revitalization project and in the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. Along with this latest pledge, we are pleased to announce a new co-op program, where the local fundraising efforts of an EXIT Realty sales representative or broker may be matched by our fund.”

“We are grateful to EXIT Realty, its agents and employees for their commitment to Habitat’s mission,” said Larry Gluth, Senior Vice President, U.S. and Canada, Habitat for Humanity International. Because of this partnership, more partner families have a safe, decent, affordable house to call home. “

Habitat for Humanity partners with families who invest sweat-equity hours in building their home and others. They make affordable down-payments on a no-interest mortgage and attend homeowner education classes.

“Home is such an emotionally-charged word. Statements like, ‘Honey, I’m home!’ or ‘Home for the holidays’ are filled with heart-warming sentiment,” says Tami Bonnell, EXIT Realty Corp. International’s CEO. “It’s a word that means comfort, safety, security and so much more. EXIT Realty is proud to work closely with the Habitat organization to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for families across the continent.”

  1. Well that’s too bad. Exit Realty is providing funds to a homophobic, sexist, and racist organization.

  2. Exit Realty Corporation International is not only defining the cutting edge of the real estate industry, we are equally as proud of being committed to unconditionally never taking anything for granted.

  3. This is wonderful! I just learned I am part of a company that shares the wealth for an important cause. I have worked with homeless families as well as low income housing through out my past Human Services related job experience here on Cape Cod where I live.

  4. Would you be able to tell me who our local representative is for Habitat for Humanity – Port Charlotte, FL 33948. My broker Debbie Myers belongs to the BNI networking group. She met someone that works at Habitat for Humanity who did not know that EXIT Realty is such a large donor. She was wondering who at Habitat handles this for our area. Could you let me know? Thanks so much.
