Over the holiday season, EXIT Mountain Realty II in Hendersonville, North Carolina, announced that it would participate in the Spirit of EXIT: Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program to benefit Henderson County Habitat for Humanity to help a local family build a Habitat home in 2018.

“The entire team at EXIT Mountain Realty II was pleased to support Habitat for Humanity which does so much to address the affordable housing crisis in Henderson County,” said Jason Jacques, Broker/Owner. “After meeting with Habitat to see how we could make a significant impact, we decided to invite the community to participate. By getting more people involved, we were able to double our impact.”

A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund.  Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities, including Habitat for Humanity, and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. EXIT Mountain Realty II hoped to raise $12,500 and asked EXIT Realty Corp. International to match that pledge.

The brokerage publicized its efforts with a press release and social media efforts including an interview with a Habitat for Humanity family partner, and raised $24,365.  EXIT Realty Corp. International matched the initial pledge request of $12,500 for a total donation to Henderson County Habitat for Humanity of $36,865.

“The community responded overwhelmingly to this fundraiser which was unique in our small community,” said Angie Hunter, Director of Development for Henderson County Habitat for Humanity.

“Henderson County Habitat for Humanity received the most year-end donations throughout their history because of this matching gift challenge,” said Jacques.
