  • Wear your name badge ALL THE TIME
  • Don’t sit with people you know during meals – mix, mingle and meet people from across the continent
  • Check the chatter on social media now to find out who’s going and where they’re from – make appointments to connect during the event #EXITCONV
  • It’s not all about you! Be ready to add value and ask about the other person
  • Connect now with the speakers and follow up with them after the event
  • Pay attention to who wins awards and make a point to connect with them at the event and on social media. Did you win a Bronze Award? Connect and ask how Silver winners achieved that level. Who has been inducted into the Circles? Who’s the Top Sponsor? Find out how they did it.

And finally, don’t let it end at the stroke of midnight, Friday. Follow up with handwritten cards and notes when you get home and stay in touch.
