EXIT Realty Corp. International today announced a plan to enlist the help of an Associate in each one of its brokerages to act as that location’s “Engagement Leader”, building on the company’s culture of mentorship, to spread the word about EXIT’s technology to every Associate in the system.

The program is the brainchild of the company’s CEO, Tami Bonnell, who recognized the importance of agents helping agents.  Vice President of Technology Engagement, Annette Anthony, communicates with the volunteer agent Engagement Leaders and tasks them with teaching a monthly tech tip to their peers during office meetings, one-on-one, etc.

“I travel throughout our company and personally show our Associates how to use our resources. What I experience is that our agents thrive when we walk them through the use of our tools hands-on,” says Anthony. “The challenge is, one person can’t possibly touch every agent and stay connected with them over time. Rather, what we need is an army of Associates with a heart for helping other agents succeed.  These Associates are our Engagement Leaders.”

Sales Representative, Mindy Brewster, is the Engagement Leader at EXIT Heart of Texas Realty in Copperas Cove, near Fort Hood. “Being an Engagement Leader gives me the opportunity to share amazing tips with my fellow agents and get them more engaged in their business and the company,” she says.  “I am all about networking and helping to share ideas. If I can help inspire just one agent to push a little harder, I can smile knowing they will be successful!”

To-date, the company boasts Engagement Leaders in more than a quarter of its brokerage locations across the U.S. and Canada with that number growing weekly.

“The more our agents engage with one another and with our technology resources, the more they are welded in to the EXIT system.  Having an Engagement Leader in every office will help us to leverage Annette’s expertise and is a living, breathing example of EXIT’s supportive culture,” says Bonnell.

What’s involved?

An Engagement Leader must be an EXIT Realty Associate who loves helping fellow agents in their office and who is willing to share ideas.  They have to have an interest in technology (but they don’t have to be a technologist).  An Engagement Leader is a volunteer who is  willing to accept a monthly video email, which includes a tip about one of EXIT’s many resources or tools. The Engagement Leader then shares the information with all of the agents in his/her office either during an office meeting or individually. If there are any questions about the tools and/or resources shared, Engagement Leaders will encourage the Associates to contact Franchise Support for assistance.

What’s the goal?

This special community of Leaders will help extend EXIT’s reach to every Associate in their office (whether they come into the office or not) and will share EXIT’s tools and resources with them no matter their level of tech-savviness. This movement will strengthen each office by engaging all Associates with the tools provided by EXIT to help them succeed.
