Impacting Families in Delaware, The Spirit of EXIT Benefits Habitat for Humanity

Last month, EXIT Central Realty with offices in Dover and Milford, Delaware, hosted its second annual EXIT Realty Hearts for Homes event benefiting Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit ecumenical housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing.

“This year we broadcasted throughout Delaware from the event location at Lowe’s Home Improvement and we asked for help from the members of the Home Builders Association of Delaware and contractors licensed throughout the state. We were supported by 84 Lumber and Lowe’s again this year,” said Michele Bilow, Broker of Record, EXIT Central Realty.

A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. The event raised $12,331.36 through donations from the public, which EXIT Realty Corp. International matched for a total donation to Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity of $24,662.72.

“This event reached and impacted many families and individuals in our community. Central Delaware Habitat is now well-stocked with safety glasses, dust masks, gloves, utility knives, saw blades and speed squares that will help volunteers and our construction staff to be more efficient and safe on site, at least through the rest of the year,” said Timothy Bailey Director of Relationship Management, Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity. “With the additional lumber and funds raised, CDHFH will be able to purchase all of the lumber needed for a two-storey home.”
