Building Dreams and Homes: EXIT Realty Bob Lamb and Associates Partners with MTSU and Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity

By Valarie Glenn, Broker of Record, EXIT Realty Bob Lamb & Associates, Murfreesboro, TN

At EXIT Realty Bob Lamb & Associates, we believe in the power of community, collaboration, and homeownership. On October 5th, 2023, we had the privilege of joining hands with Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity to make a dream come true for a remarkable MTSU alumna, Fredrica.

The event, held on the beautiful MTSU campus, was a testament to the strength of partnerships and the collective commitment to giving back to the community. As a real estate company, we understand the profound impact that a stable and secure home can have on an individual’s life, and we were honored to be a part of this inspiring endeavor.

Fredrica, a proud MTSU alumna, was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, along with her four sisters. They grew up in low-income rental housing, living with their aunt and grandmothers. Today, Fredrica is the mother of three children and has two grandchildren. Her oldest son, grandchildren, and several family members live nearby, creating a close and supportive family network. For the past eighteen years, she has dedicated her career to Aramark at MTSU. Her journey to homeownership was not without its challenges, as her initial application for the Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity Homeownership program was denied. However, Fredrica’s determination and patience eventually paid off, and her dream of owning a home became a reality.

EXIT Realty Bob Lamb & Associates has a long-standing commitment to making a positive difference in our community. Our partnership with Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity was a natural fit, as they share our vision for creating affordable, sustainable, and safe housing solutions for local families in need. This collaboration allowed us to pool resources and expertise, working side by side to build a beautiful home for Fredrica.

The event resonated with a sense of unity and purpose, as volunteers from MTSU, Habitat for Humanity, and our dedicated team came together to create a transformative experience for Fredrica. We collaborated to construct the walls, which were later assembled on the campus to form the floor plan. Fredrica’s boundless enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude served as a contagious source of inspiration, touching the hearts of everyone involved in this remarkable project.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to MTSU and Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity for making this extraordinary initiative possible. This collaboration reflects the values we hold dear and reinforces our commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen. Together, we’ve proven that when organizations come together with a shared purpose, they can create lasting, positive change in the lives of individuals and families in our community. EXIT Realty Bob Lamb & Associates remains dedicated to helping families find their dream homes, and we are proud to have been part of this incredible journey with Fredrica and the entire MTSU and Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity team. We’re excited to see the positive impact Fredrica’s new home will have on her life and are committed to continuing our efforts to make a difference in our community.

As a real estate company, we are privileged to play a part in creating a brighter future for Fredrica and contributing to the noble cause of affordable housing. We look forward to more opportunities to work together with our community partners, as we believe in the power of unity and the profound impact it can have on the lives of those we serve. We’re excited to see the positive impact Fredrica’s new home will have on her life and are committed to continuing our efforts to make a difference in our community, one home at a time.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. EXIT Realty Bob Lamb & Associates raised $4,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $8,000 to Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity.

“We appreciate your donation to Habitat and your support of our mission. Although there will never be enough thank you letters to express our gratitude for your support, please know it is never forgotten and always appreciated,” said Terri Schultz, CEO, Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity.
