“I chose this charity because they are the hands and feet of the community with youth who are displaced from their family and homes because of unfortunate life events. The founders and house staff take on the role of parent, guide, teacher, disciplinarian, and more, to help shape the youth to become all they can be for their benefit and the benefit of the community. The goal is always to get them back to their family, if the situation allows, but this takes a lot of growth and change. The founders are 100% hands on with the youth, in the homes, showing them how to grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally,” tells Stacy Wilson, Associate Broker with EXIT Global Realty in Maitland, FL of why she chose to support this organization.
A bowling event was held to raise money and awareness for Redemption Home 1. The money raised will be used to fill in the gaps in what is received in monthly funds for the homes. Funds will go to monthly activities to get the youth out to experience new things, to monthly guests to teach and train in the areas of self-management and practical skills, and to opportunities to be a part of group lessons and specific interests.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Stacy hoped to raise $4,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however she raised $7,050, for a total donation of $11,050 to Redemption Home 1.
“From the entire team at Redemption Home, we are beyond grateful and appreciative of your donation to our cause. The fundraiser was our first on our quest to inform people about our organization and educate them about foster homes as we seek to grow by building positive relationships,” said Dalmane Gray, Redemption Home 1.
