Stephanie Verderose, Franchisee of EXIT Homestead Realty Professionals with offices in Vineland and Pittsgrove, New Jersey, has long been a passionate leader of local initiatives—but this year’s fundraising event, Cornhole for a Cause, was especially close to her heart.
Held in honor of the Paul Ritondaro Shooting Star Foundation, the event brought the community together for a day of connection, remembrance, and support. Attendees enjoyed a cornhole tournament, raffles, a beef and beer dinner, dancing, and more. Custom-designed t-shirts emblazoned with the poignant message “Your Story Is Not Over” underscored the deeper purpose behind the festivities: to raise awareness and funds for those affected by suicide loss.
Stephanie and her team raised over $16,000, and thanks to the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, an additional $3,000 in matching funds brought the total to just over $19,000. These funds will directly support the mission of the Paul Ritondaro Shooting Star Foundation, a charity dedicated to offering hope and healing to families navigating the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one to suicide.
“We are truly grateful for the Spirit of EXIT program and the matching funds it provides to charities such as ours,” said Tina Ritondaro, President of the foundation.
This event was more than just a fundraiser—it was a testament to how a community can come together to lift others up, spread hope, and make a lasting impact.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
