“Recognizing the increased demand for food in our community, we wanted to make a more significant impact beyond just individual donations. We decided to dedicate our time to packing groceries for those in need and raising funds to purchase additional food to donate to the food bank,” Simon Bédard, sales representative with EXIT Realty Matrix, Brokerage in Hawkesbury, ON, explains the decision to support Hawkesbury Central Food Bank.
By donating to the local food bank, they help to combat food insecurity and support community members in need. Due to the success of last year’s event, they decided to do it again and match the funds raised.
They raised $2,302 and the Bédard Real Estate Team matched it with $2604. With the additional match of $2,000 from EXIT Realty Corp. International, they were able to donate $6,906 to Hawkesbury Central Food Bank.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
