Chose to Serve: EXIT Realty Lends a Hand in the Fight Against Food Insecurity

Across six weekends of dedication, generosity, and grassroots effort, Jessica Ellis, Sales Representative at EXIT Grassroots Realty in Powder Springs, Georgia, proved just how much impact one determined team can have when they choose to serve. Through a creative and committed fundraising campaign for Chosen Vessels of God Ministries, Jessica and her community raised an impressive $4,146.50, with the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program contributing an additional $3,000 in matching funds—bringing the total to $7,146.50 to support local families in need.

The initiative, fittingly named Chose to Serve, combined multiple community-driven elements. Volunteers hosted an ongoing community yard sale every weekend for six weeks, collecting gently used items from residents and selling or auctioning them to raise funds. A bake sale, and a partnership with the local Pizza Hut food truck further fueled the effort, with all proceeds from the truck’s sales donated to the cause.

Chosen Vessels of God Ministries works tirelessly to address food insecurity, supporting more than 175 families with groceries, and helping the local unhoused population with items such as hygiene essentials and warm clothing. These resources offer more than just daily necessities—they provide dignity, stability, and hope to those navigating tough times.

“I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to contribute to the Spirit of EXIT program”, said Sonya Jordan, CFO/Treasurer for the charity. “As a ministry devoted to serving our community and meeting the needs of families in crisis, we are honored to share the fruits of our recent outreach efforts.”

Thanks to Jessica’s leadership, the power of community collaboration, and the matching funds provided by the Spirit of EXIT, even more families will receive the help they need.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
