Nick Libert, Broker/Owner of EXIT Strategy Realty with offices in Chicago, IL, Hammond, IN and Buffalo, MI, took a unique approach to fundraising when he was nominated for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year campaign.
To help raise money to fight blood cancers and fund invaluable research as part of LLS’s fight for a cure, Nick, an award-winning top broker and team leader, offered three hours of in-person coaching to EXIT Realty offices and regions across the system at his own expense for a minimum donation to the cause. Nick said, “I am so excited and passionate about this charity and what it stands for. We all have been touched by cancer.”
A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Nick raised $13,500 which was matched by EXIT Realty Corp. International for a total donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of $27,000.
Ashley Bloom, Senior Director, Special Events of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Illinois Chapter said, “Since the 1960’s, the survival rate for many blood cancer patients in North America has doubled, tripled or even quadrupled due to the groundbreaking research which LLS has helped to fund. Thanks to your support, LLS is at the forefront of the fight to cure cancer.”
