Dayna Langlois, Sales Representative with EXIT Realty Twin Bridges, Brokerage in Sarnia, Ontario was already involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton but wanted to have an even greater impact. Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton is an organization that provides children with mentorship opportunities to show them what is possible beyond what they experience every day.
When asked why she chose this charity Dayna said, “I have been an active Big Sister for four years. I sit on the board of this amazing charity and watched the impact of it spread through the lives of young children who would not have had the opportunities or exposure to a bright future had it not been for the proper mentorship and guidance. This program is completely nonprofit and has a long waitlist of children needing a match. This program needs constant and increased funding to help provide children with basic necessities and programs to align them with resources and education.”
After feeling that mentorship wasn’t enough for her, Dayna decided that she’d also help by donating $50 for each sale she closed. The funds would be reinvested into the youth programs as well as used to create increased awareness for volunteers.
“On behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton, and especially the children we serve, I wish to thank you for your recent donation. All of the funds stay right here in our community and will directly benefit our various children’s programs. It is through the generosity of community minded citizens such as you, that we are able to continue to serve the over 800 Sarnia-Lambton area children who benefit from this agency,” said Michael Hurry, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton.
