Dean, Schwendel and the Spirit of EXIT Help Make Pink Cans 4 Cancer’s 10th Event a Huge Success

William Anthony (Tony) Dean and Robert Schwendel, sales associates with EXIT Realty Premier in Massapequa, NY hosted the 10th Annual Pink Cans 4 Cancer fundraiser to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Pink Cans 4 Cancer raises money one can at a time for breast cancer awareness. Pink Cans 4 Cancer has over 80 collection bins in schools, businesses, and homes all with the support of amazing friends and family.  Tony was inspired to found Pink Cans 4 Cancer after his friend, Kristen Martinez, succumbed to breast cancer.

The golf event was held on May 23rd with over 150 people in attendance, including 96 golfers, at the beautiful Pine Hollow Club. Tony, Robert, and their team raised money through selling sponsorships, raffles, contests throughout the golf event, and golfer foursomes. They had over 25 raffle items donated by local businesses, a silent auction, and local vendors volunteering and handing out samples.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Tony, Robert, and the team hoped to raise $10,000 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, but they wildly exceeded their expectations for a total of $60,000 to Pink Cans 4 Cancer.

“Robert Schwendel and William Anthony (Tony) Dean worked tirelessly to raise funds and obtain sponsorships for our event. The event was a huge success to help our fight against breast cancer and support the women who are affected by this terrible disease,” said Pamela Carr, Pink Cans 4 Cancer spokesperson.
