EXIT Coastal Real Estate Pros Raises Money for Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina

Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina is a non-profit organization whose members are parents who have children serving or who have served in the US military. They serve to support one another, the troops and veterans, and to promote patriotism within the community. “The need in our community for our veterans is so great. I have a son serving in Germany with the Army,” tells MaryAnne Dorio, Broker/Owner of EXIT Coastal Real Estate Pros in Myrtle Beach, SC, of why she chose to support this organization.

Through social media, press releases, but mostly word of mouth, MaryAnne and her team of professionals were able to spread the word about this charity and fundraise with an online platform. The money raised will go towards the shipping of care packages for those deployed overseas.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. MaryAnne and her team hoped to raise $3,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they raised $3,004.21 for a total donation of $6,004.21 to Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina.

“Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina will be packing and mailing Hero Boxes throughout the year, at least 5 times. Each of these Hero Box shipments cost around $4,500 in postage alone. This donation will allow us to send more boxes to our deployed US military service members. Thank you for your generosity,” said Carol Dion, President, Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina.
