EXIT Landmark Realty and the Spirit of EXIT Dunk-a-Hunk

with Alex Cole, Franchisee of EXIT Landmark Realty in White Plains, MD

The agents of EXIT Landmark Realty and the local community came together to raise funds for Children’s National Hospital.  The fundraising effort culminated with a Dunk-a-Hunk party using their very own EXIT Franchisee/Agent/Hunk, Alex Cole. The funds will be used for things like purchasing teddy bears for every patient at Children’s National over the holidays and vital equipment for the Heart Institute.

One of the key efforts was to raise money as a gift commemorating the beautiful life of Xavier Bean. Bears of Love has committed through the Children’s Miracle Network to use every dollar donated towards the purchase of a new Cardiovascular Ultrasound Machine that will be dedicated in Xavier’s name.

Both Alex and Bernadette Cole, one of the Regional Owners of EXIT Realty Virginia, were introduced to Children’s National a few years ago by two fellow real estate agents who were collecting bears for children who were hospitalized or transported to the hospital.  A local real estate agent and close friend tragically lost her child due to a heart condition.

The event was held at Rucci’s Italian Restaurant in White Plains, MD and is truly an example of the whole community coming together to support a great cause. Real estate, mortgage, and title companies, restaurants, and the community focused efforts to help one of their own local families. This was truly a collaborative effort!

“The agents of EXIT Landmark Realty are honored and proud to serve our local communities. This is what makes EXIT different, the matching program doubled the funds raised!  No other fundraiser had the backing of a company dedicated to giving back and we are thrilled to be able to partner with our corporate office to multiply the impact,” Alex said.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Alex and his team of professionals hoped to raise $7,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded that goal and raised $7,915 for a total donation of $15,415 to Children’s National Hospital.

“Thank you for your incredible efforts to raise money in support of the Heart Institute and Autism program at Children’s National Hospital! We deeply appreciate your generosity and support to ensure all children in our region and across the country have access to the lifesaving

equipment and care of Children’s National,” said Molly Jackson, Associate Director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
