“Many of our agents have children or grandchildren, some of whom have had stays or procedures at Marshfield Children’s Hospital, the hospital that Christmas in July Charity helps raise funds and collect toys for,” explains Alissa Prentice, Owner of EXIT Midstate Realty in Weston, WI of why she and her team chose to support this organization.
The brat fry was held in the office parking lot which gave exposure to the office, and agents and affiliates volunteered to sell and cook the food. They also added a small bake sale this year to further donations.
Their donation to the Christmas in July Charity allows them the opportunity to purchase toys for patients, restock activity areas, possibly remodel areas of the Marshfield Children’s Hospital that don’t currently fit into the operating budget, as well as provide for patient birthday and end of treatment parties.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Alissa and her team hoped to raise $2,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded that goal and raised $2,869, for a total donation of $5,369 to Christmas in July Charity.
