We held our second annual golf tournament to benefit The Yellow Tulip Project, a Maine non-profit, whose mission is to smash the stigma of mental health and to build a community to remind people that there is help and hope for those living with mental illness.
We had 92 players on a gorgeous day at Old Marsh Country Club in Wells, ME. The positive responses from the Wells community in our effort to raise money for The Yellow Tulip Project has been truly amazing. The event also doubled as a showcase of our new ‘Young Men Moving Mountains’ exhibit, which featured 15 local Wells models.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. The EXIT Oceanside Realty Team hoped to raise $4,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded that goal and raised $8,558.03 for a total donation of $12,558.03 to The Yellow Tulip Project.
“We are very humbled and grateful to receive this generous donation and are inspired to work together to make a difference in the lives of young people. These funds will be put towards bringing our message of hope, action and stigma reduction around mental illness to the Wells schools and community,” said Suzanne Fox, Executive Director of The Yellow Tulip Project.
