Over the course of a little under a month, EXIT Realty Advantage in Fredericton, NB held three separate events to raise money for Greener Village and their Angel Tree program. Greener Village started as a food bank and grew to include a community garden, unique boutique, and learning kitchen that provides a multitude of services and opportunities. “The winter holidays can be a very hard time of year for many people, but the Angel Tree Project assists over a thousand families to ensure that the holidays are what they hope to be,” tells Chris Turner, Sales Representative with EXIT Realty Advantage.
The team at EXIT Realty Advantage started off their trifold giving with a Dunk Your REALTOR® event with the Fredericton Royals Senior Men’s Baseball Team volunteering their time to ensure each Dunkee got drenched. Less than a week later, a photographer/REALTOR® from the office volunteered her time and skills to host Christmas Mini Photo Sessions to the public, clients, and everyone at the office. Their final event was held December 9th, as a silent auction and potluck.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Chris and the team of professionals at EXIT Realty Advantage hoped to raise $5,000 for Greener Village’s Angel Tree Program which EXIT’s head office was proud to match. However, they exceeded that goal and instead raised $6,410.75 for a total donation of $11,410.75.
In a letter to EXIT Realty Corp. International, Alex Boyd, Executive Director of Greener Village, wrote, “Thank you once again for the diligent support that you provide to your agents that are helping organizations like ours. Most recently, your agents raised $6,410.75 for Greener Village’s Angel Tree Program. They did this using a number of fun and exciting events, including a dunk tank in subzero temperatures. Your agents’ dedication to supporting causes like ours is amazing.”
