“We have a charitable committee at EXIT Realty Central where I presented An Achievable Dream (AAD) to them earlier in the year as our office Spirit of EXIT for 2023. I have witnessed this program firsthand as my mother worked for AAD for many years. Through her employment I became passionate about the program watching the kids get a more well-rounded education through social, academic, and moral teachings. They even teach affirmations,” tells Holly Mitchell, Sales Representative with EXIT Realty Central in Norfolk, VA.
An Achievable Dream is a nationally recognized K-12 program dedicated to the belief that children can learn and succeed regardless of their socio-economic background. Holly and her colleagues raised funds in a variety of ways including a community yard sale, restaurant nights, a bowling tournament, and BBQ/bake sale. The funds raised will help with uniforms, resources for field trips and clubs, college prep and workforce readiness programs. The team also plans on providing a vision board workshop for the elementary school students as well as a career session for students in middle and high school.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Holly and her team hoped to raise $4,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, but exceeded their goal and raised $4,695 for a total donation of $9,195 to An Achievable Dream.
