EXIT Realty Crossroads in Moody, Alabama, recently demonstrated its deep commitment to community service by hosting a successful Home & Garden Show to benefit Ann’s New Life Center for Women, Inc.
Morgan Gulledge, Franchisee of EXIT Realty Crossroads selected this organization as the beneficiary, sharing a heartfelt connection to the center’s mission. “Ann’s New Life has a special place in my heart,” Gulledge said. “The center is there to support women who have found themselves pregnant and may be unsure of their next steps. Ann’s not only provides healthcare, including ultrasounds, but also offers classes that teach mothers and fathers essential life skills—like how to create a resume, keep a job, open a checking account, and care for a newborn.”
These classes also reward participants with “Baby Bucks,” which can be used in the center’s boutique to purchase baby clothing and other necessities. The support extends beyond education; Ann’s also provides essentials like formula and diapers to mothers in need.
To raise funds, the Home & Garden Show brought together local vendors, contractors, and experts from various industries. It featured booth rentals by local businesses, live presentations on topics like home buying, roofing care, and gardening tips, a raffle with items donated by participating vendors, and a donation table that collected same-day contributions for Ann’s New Life.
EXIT Realty Crossroads was the sole real estate company involved and took the lead in planning and hosting the event. The effort not only raised money but also increased awareness about Ann’s New Life Center and the vital services it offers to women and families in the community.
Funds collected from the event are now helping purchase much-needed items like diapers and baby formula, clothing and blankets, educational materials for parents, and supplies to continue offering healthcare services and life skills classes.
This event was a powerful example of how EXIT Realty and the Spirit of EXIT initiative can work together to support meaningful change at the local level. “It was truly inspiring to see the community come together to support such an incredible cause,” said Gulledge. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference.” The Home & Garden event raised $2,310, with a matching donation from the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, for a total donation of $4,620 to Ann’s New Life Center for Women, Inc.
