Kel Williams, Owner, and the real estate professionals of EXIT Realty Elite in Nashville, TN teamed up with the Spirit of EXIT to benefit Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls is a group that provides relief, fights poverty and protects the planet by collecting new and gently worn shoes and clothing to be distributed to people in need, helping people create and sustain their own small business selling these items in disadvantaged areas, and using goods that might otherwise end up in landfills.
Kel and his team chose this Nashville based charity as he is friends with their Director of Outreach and knows the need right here in the USA. They held an online fundraiser from November 1st to December 5th, 2021, to raise money as well as hosted a Christmas party with dinner, drinks, and live music by Tiffany and Lee Group with $20 tickets to help meet their goal.
“Everyone deserves a good pair of shoes. Over 300 hundred shoes were donated by the agents,” said Christie Drury, Broker of Record, EXIT Realty Elite.
“Every single pair of shoes makes a difference for those in need in Nashville and around the world,” says Tiffany Turner, a local supporter of Souls4Souls. “Every day children are prevented from attending school adults are unable to work. Walking becomes unbearable. A new pair of shoes provides relief in many depressed areas in the United States, Canada and many other places around the world.”
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. In addition to the gifts of shoes, Kel and the team met their fundraising goal of $5,000 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $10,000 to Soles4Souls.
