Robert Martin, Broker of Record, and a team from EXIT Realty Home Team of Deland, Florida, were spurred to action by Robyn Young, Sales Representative, who had been volunteering with crisis centers and realized the immediate need for funding. They decided to support their community by participating in Over The Edge, a fundraiser held by Easterseals Northeast Central Florida where participants rappel from One Daytona, an 8-story building. Easterseals is an organization that provides services, education, outreach, and advocacy for disabled children and their families.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. The brave rappelers at EXIT Realty Home Team hoped to raise $2,500 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded their goal and raised $2,576.54 for a total donation of $5,076.54 to Easterseals Northeast Central Florida.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to submit this request for EXIT Realty Corp. International matching funds in the amount of $2,500 to support the individual and team fundraising efforts of several of your associates in Daytona Beach, FL. We are grateful for their interest in the event and in supporting the clients we serve, which total over 5,000 local children annually,” said Susan B. Moor, Vice President of Easter Seals Northeast Central Florida.
