EXIT Realty Homeward Bound Honors the Memory of Habitat for Humanity’s Amy Winans

By Robert Farrell, Broker/Owner, EXIT Realty Homeward Bound, NY

On September 9th, 2021, EXIT Realty Homeward Bound conducted our 14th Annual Golf Outing raising money for Broome/Tioga Habitat for Humanity. Due to the year’s events in 2020, we were unable to hold this event. Because of this, 2021 ended up being the best year we ever had. The event was sold out and it had more sponsorships than any other year. The event began the evening before where the professionals at EXIT Realty Homeward Bound and its vendors held a silent auction and training event for the agents <which featured EXIT Realty’s Vice President of Technology Engagement, Annette Anthony>.

It is with a broken heart that we submit our request for the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program this year. The Executive Director of Broome Tioga Habitat for Humanity, Amy Winans, passed away unexpectedly at 43 years of age. We have worked with her by our side for the last 14 years. She was always so honored and grateful to be part of our Annual Golf Tournament. EXIT Realty is their largest contributor and she LOVED us with her whole heart.

This year’s tournament was a smashing success! She knew it was an exceptional year combining Annette Anthony’s training with a reception and silent auction afterwards. But Amy passed before we could present the total proceeds. We are so grateful to be part of a company that GIVES and encourages GIVING, in memory of our biggest fan, Amy Winans.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and so does Amy.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Robert and his team of professionals raised $11,747 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $23,494 to Broome County Habitat for Humanity.
