EXIT Realty Homeward Bound Hosts 17th Annual Golf Outing for Habitat for Humanity

By Robert Farrell, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Homeward Bound in Vestal, NY

With much support from our local vendors, mortgage companies, inspectors, and title companies, we were able to raise money for our local chapter of Habitat for Humanity through our 17th Annual Charity Golf Outing at the En-joie Golf Club in Endicott NY.

We began the day with an intense training session with EXIT Realty Corp. International’s Director of Corporate Engagement, Annette Anthony, who graciously flew in for these two days.  The evening continued with an additional fundraiser that had live music, food and beverages, games of chance, and support from our sponsors, agents, and members of the En-Joie Golf Club. We continued Thursday morning with a shotgun start at 8:45 for a beautiful day of golf.  Every dollar that was won from the golf outing was graciously given back from the players.

Broome County Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing affordable housing solutions for low-income families and individuals.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Robert and his team hoped to raise $2,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded expectations and raised $9,335.60 for a total donation of $11,835.60 to Broome County Habitat for Humanity.

“It is only through the faithful and continued charitable giving of our community that we can give families in Broome and Tioga counties a hand up by helping them move out of substandard housing. Thank you again for assisting us as we continue to build homes and communities in Broome and Tioga counties. Together, we are building more than houses,” said Lateisha Judge Ulrich, Executive Director, Broome County Habitat for Humanity.
