The Papillion Center is a nonprofit organization that supports children and families through counseling, education, and community programs. “They do such important work in our community. Strong people + strong families build strong communities. Supporting counseling and advocacy programs makes Paducah a healthier and happier place,” Andrea Stone, Franchisee of EXIT Realty Key Group in Paducah, KY, explains why she and her team chose to support this charity.
The puppygram initiative was a simple but impactful way to raise money. When someone made a donation, they could schedule a puppy visit for themselves or a friend. If for some reason the person didn’t wish to be visited, they could pass it along to someone else who might benefit from a puppy cuddle. The money raised will go towards providing materials and supplies for individual and group therapy sessions, covering costs for educational workshops and support groups as well as paying for licensed therapists.
Throughout the event, they had the opportunity to surprise community members, businesses, and clients with visits from playful pups, bringing smiles and laughter wherever they went. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Participants took photos, shared stories, and enjoyed the time spent together.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT Realty Corp. International to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Andrea and her team raised $811, which EXIT was proud to match for a total donation of $1622 to The Papillion Center.
“Puppygrams with a Purpose was one of those ideas that made everyone smile from the moment we started planning it, reminding us how powerful small acts of kindness can be. Seeing people light up when those puppies arrived, and just enjoying a little bit of time together was the best part. It’s something we definitely want to do again if the opportunity comes along,” Andrea said.
