EXIT Realty Lake Superior, Brokerage Adapts to Support Children in the Soo

“We have worked with Easter Seals for several years now locally. The past two years, they have not been able to host their traditional Easter Seals Telethon where they raise most of their funds. We feel it is time to step up and truly help this amazing cause,” said Kristen Trembinski, Regional Owner of EXIT Realty Northern Ontario and Broker/Co-Owner of EXIT Realty Lake Superior, Brokerage.

Kristen and her team at EXIT Realty Lake Superior, Brokerage hosted their own telethon recently to help raise funds for Easter Seals Ontario. “Our team participates in their telethon every year but unfortunately due to COVID-19 it was cancelled. We hope that we can help the Easter Seals achieve their fundraising goals by reaching out to our clients and family for donations,” Kristen said.

Money raised helps disabled children purchase much needed equipment to accommodate their homes and lifestyles. Families rely heavily on these funds to help their children live comfortable, healthy lives. The entire team at EXIT Realty Lake Superior, Brokerage made calls to clients and family members for 1 hour to collect donations. They also ran a donation ad on their social media platforms, offering followers to click on their team link and donate online.  Their efforts were also covered by local media.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Kristen and her team raised $5,000 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, for a total donation of $10,000 to Easter Seals Ontario.

“On behalf of Easter Seals Ontario, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous support. We are deeply grateful for every contribution; however, your support is particularly meaningful and appreciated this year. With the cancellation of so many of our fundraising events due to COVID-19, Easter Seals’ revenue has been drastically impacted. With this tremendous contribution, you are helping to alleviate some of the burden for these families. Your donation will enable us to provide families with funding for vital equipment that will not only allow their children to live safely in their homes, but will also provide them with greater independence, dignity and quality of life,” said Carolyn Bunting O-Connor, Development Officer for Easter Seals Ontario.
