“’Community’ by definition is ‘a group of people living in one place or having a particular characteristic in common’. Now more than ever, we have something in common. Now is a great time to come together as a community and support one another! More importantly, it’s also a time to consider those who are in need in our communities,” wrote Rachel Fredrickson, sales associate with EXIT Realty Nexus in Coon Rapids, MN.
Rachel and her fellow EXIT professionals, including her 9-year-old REALTOR®-in-training daughter Kaiynne, chose to support the ICA Food Shelf, an organization out of Minnetonka, MN whose mission is to create a healthy and stable community for all. Rachel and team mailed a flyer to one postal route along with a paper bag for donations. This is their 3rd annual food drive for ICA.
“We started raising funds for ICA in 2020 when COVID first started. The world has changed, and people are still struggling with jobs and housing. ICA helps people feed their families and does so much more to help stabilize families in need. I am proud to be helping a company that helps their community,” tells Rachel, “The community also donated 531 pounds of food and toiletries. It almost didn’t fit in my car this year!”
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. The fundraising efforts of the team at EXIT Realty Nexus and the contribution of EXIT Realty Corp. International resulted in a total donation of $500 benefiting ICA Food Shelf.
“Thank you for your gift that provides continuous support to our community and helps us adapt to the needs of our neighbors. We couldn’t do it without you!” said Dan Narr, Executive Director, ICA Food Shelf.
