We have worked with Habitat for Humanity before to provide housing for deserving families who need a little help. We sponsored a complete home build with EXIT’s help four years ago and our local Habitat organization was able to use that project to reinvigorate our city for helping Habitat. They now do a “Home Blitz” each year where they build 3-4 homes in a 2–3-week period. We participated again this year by providing funds for one of the home builds as well as manpower to help with the construction.
We set a goal to raise $50,000 to help Habitat for Humanity build a home in their Blitz campaign this fall. After months of preparation, we hosted a beautiful dinner that included a raffle and silent/live auctions. The response was tremendous, and we raised over $62,000 including $7,500 in matching funds from EXIT Realty Corp. International. This effort was a true success and we’re thankful for the partnership from corporate.
The funds were raised by vendor sponsorships, raffle proceeds, and auction funds. We were blessed to have 20 representatives from Habitat for Humanity join us and also bring the Salazar family who will receive the home we are helping to fund.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
