EXIT Realty Smart Car Race to Benefit Feed America First

EXIT Southeast (Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia) is celebrating family and giving back to the community with the 4th Annual EXIT Smart Car Race at the Music City Raceway in Goodlettsville, Tennessee on Friday, June 2nd.  EXIT Realty Corp. International Chief Executive Officer, Tami Bonnell, is scheduled to attend along with the President of EXIT Realty Corp. International’s U.S. Division, Craig Witt, and Director of Broker Development, Janice Petteway.

With a competitive love of racing and business, EXIT Southeast Regional Owner, Kenny Lynn, has made a career of successfully growing companies and holds a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) license. On weekends, you can find him racing up to 135 MPH!

“One of the first things my partner, Stacy Strobl, and I did as Regional Owners is reinstitute the use of Smart Cars for area marketing.  Combining my love of drag racing with Smart Cars, we wanted to create an event that gives back to our community while allowing our franchise owners, agents and their families to have an evening of great fun,” Lynn said.

Since its inception in 2014 by EXIT Realty Tennessee, the EXIT Realty Smart Car Race has raised almost $15,000 for non-profits including Autism Tennessee with support and donations growing annually.  This year, the June race will benefit Feed America First, a faith-based, 501(c)3 hunger relief organization based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee whose mission is provide food to those who feed the hungry. Feed America First receives large-scale food donations from manufacturers, retailers, etc. and with the help of hundreds of volunteers every month, divides and distributes the food to about 200 partner agencies (food pantries, shelters, etc.) throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Kentucky.

“We are blessed living and working in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia but many of our residents need this critical, extra help.  Every month, Feed America First distributes over 900,000+ lbs. of food and reaches 35,000 families,” Strobl said.

Nationwide, Lynn said EXIT Realty brokerages and agents have been adopting the fuel-efficient Smart Cars as eye-catching, branding and marketing tools.  With speeds of up to 53 miles per hour (MPH), in 2016, over 30 drivers participated in the Smart Car race.

“It really is amazing and entertaining to see dozens of Smart Cars lined up to race with drivers from across several states.  The crowds have a great time and at the end of the day, we are honored to be raising money for a worthy cause,” Lynn said.

Gates open at 4 p.m. for the June 2nd event at the Music City Raceway.  Tickets are $10 per person with free admission to children under 16.  The races begin at approximately 6 p.m. CST.
