EXIT Realty Vision, Brokerage and the Spirit of EXIT Make Spirits Bright this Holiday Season

For many the holidays inspire feelings of charity and good will. As needs are also high during that time of year, Wendy Ronberg, Broker Owner of EXIT Realty Vision, Brokerage in Carleton Place, Ontario and her team of professionals raised money for the Lanark County Food Bank. The Lanark County Food Bank’s goal is to provide 5 days’ worth of food a month to families in need.

“EXIT Realty Vision was honoured to be able to partner with The Hunger Stop – Lanark County Food Bank. This charity has been under enormous strain the last year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” explained Wendy.

“As a new brokerage in this community, EXIT Realty Vision wanted to make a big impact and help the community that had so warmly welcomed us last year. The agents in our brokerage worked tirelessly organizing community events that included an open house at our new location where the community was welcomed in for coffee and donuts and were able to make either non-perishable food items, cash or online donations. In addition, our enthusiastic team volunteered their time and energies into setting up our EXIT Realty Vision tent in both the communities of Almonte and Carleton Place where we sold (by donation) cookies, candy canes and hot chocolate. Don’t forget the whipped cream!”

The team also participated in the Carleton Place Santa Claus Parade. “We set up outside our office with our tent complete with festive decorations, music and snacks and drinks to keep everyone (including the people in the parade!) warm. At this event we collected both food items and cash donations. We also included a URL code that linked directly to The Hunger Stop donation page,” said Wendy.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Wendy and her team hoped to raise $5,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they raised $5,915 for a total donation of $10,915 to the Lanark County Food Bank.

“We are excited to report that a whopping $5,915.00 was raised by your team at EXIT Realty Vision, Brokerage – that equates to 5,915 meals for our clients! We are so grateful for your efforts,” said Tammy Parent, Manager at Lanark County Food Bank.

“We can’t thank the people of Lanark County enough for not only welcoming us in but also for the enormous amount of support and generosity they have shared with us,” said Wendy.  “From children donating allowance money to large online donations, we were truly brought to tears. At a time when we have all been feeling physically alone and disconnected from our community, this fundraising event has shown incredible spirit and a willingness to join hands and connect with those in our community who need it.”
