Recently the Region of EXIT Realty Tennessee hosted an EXIT Smart Car Race as a part of the EXIT Family Day at the Music City Raceway in Union Hill, Tennessee.
Kenny Lynn, co-owner of EXIT Realty Tennessee and an avid competition drag racer, conceived of the event after fielding questions from Brokers and Agents in the region about his racing career. “Their curiosity inspired me to consider how to combine my business with an activity I love. Racing is a family pastime I thought we could all enjoy.”
Families and friends from fifteen Tennessee EXIT offices enjoyed a full day of racing, which started with a six-mile Smart Car parade through town. The event gave race-goers an opportunity to meet their favorite drivers, see and touch drag cars, enjoy great food and cheer for their favorite racing team.
The day’s races included the standard racing brackets: Super Pro, Pro, Heads Up, Street Legal and Junior Dragsters with the EXIT Realty Smart Car Bracket receiving the most attention. Eight Smart Cars entered the highly unusual race. Frieda Adams drove the winning Smart Car, owned by EXIT Realty of the South in Franklin, TN (Jeremy Flax, Broker/Owner). Carolyn Owens drove the runner-up Smart Car, owned by EXIT Realty Tennessee (Stacy Strobl & Kenny Lynn, Owners).
When asked if the Smart Cars would race again, Lynn, smiled and said, “Yes, EXIT Tennessee Smart Cars owners may have found another passion.”
