This summer, the 3rd Annual Charity Ride for Wisconsin Hero Outdoors was held and sponsored in part by EXIT Realty XL. “This organization takes veterans and first responders with PTSD to the wilderness to help heal,” Mikey Whitcomb, Broker Owner of EXIT Realty XL in Germantown, WI tells of why he chose to support this organization with the help of the Spirit of EXIT.
The registration started at 9:30 am, followed by the National Anthem, safety brief, and prayer. Then, it was wheels up at 11:30 am with stops throughout the day, including a visit to Wisconsin Hero Outdoors Headquarters, where the riders could meet the WHO team and see for themselves what the charity achieves with the dollars raised.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Mikey participated and sponsored the event to the tune of $1,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, for a total donation of $3,000 to Wisconsin Hero Outdoors.
“Thank you for the support at this year’s 3rd Annual Charity Ride. All monies raised at the event will be used to help heroes throughout the state of Wisconsin allowing us to provide free events for Veterans, First Responders and their families,” said Tammy Sawyer, Development Director for Wisconsin Hero Outdoors.
