Terry Pauling, Broker of Record of EXIT Realty North Star in Indianola, Iowa, challenged fellow Rotarians to spend a day on a Habitat for Humanity home build.
The Warren County Habitat for Humanity office was established in 1995 and launched its first construction project in 1997. They are currently working on their 17th home build. “As a member of Rotary Club of Indianola, I challenged the members to spend part of a day working at this project,” said Pauling. “In response, I designated $500 to Warren County Habitat for Humanity’s 2017 Fund Drive.”
A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities, including Habitat for Humanity, and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. To-date, EXIT has pledged $4 million to charity.
Pauling and his fellow Rotarians gathered at the house to apply a coat of finish color to all of the rooms, except one which the owner asked to be left unpainted. “The task was completed by the group in less than three hours, during which everyone had a fun time working together.”
Pauling’s $500 was matched by the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program for a total of $1,000 donated to Warren County Habitat for Humanity.
