Over the course of several months, Associates with EXIT Homevets Realty in Killeen, Texas, held activities and events to raise money to benefit Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity, including the sale of raffle tickets to win a dream home, a game patterned after TV’s Amazing Race and a family fun day at a local park. They applied to EXIT Realty Corp. International’s Spirit of EXIT: Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program for help.
A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities, including Habitat for Humanity, and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds.
EXIT Homevets Realty hoped to raise $5,000 and asked EXIT Realty Corp. International to match that pledge. The company more than doubled its initial goal raising $12,239. EXIT Realty Corp. International matched the original $5,000 pledge request for a total donation to Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity of $17,239.
“We at Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity are amazed, inspired and grateful for the remarkable job EXIT Homevets Realty has done for us this past year,” said Antoinette Meyreles, Fundraiser Coordinator. “The generous support of individuals makes it possible for our organization to exist and helps to make our community a better place to live and enjoy.”
