Geri Knighton and the Spirit of EXIT Remember Youth at Christmas

By Geri Knighton, Sales Representative with EXIT Realty Advantage in Marriott-Slaterville, UT

This year for my winter client event, my assistant Jaymie and I decided to coordinate a Coats and Christmas drive <benefiting Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership> with a special focus on our underserved teens and tweens . This is our fourth annual charitable event for Christmas and our clients love it!

Our local brokers and I, as well as one of my clients, a builder, offered to match donations. With the Spirit of EXIT $5,000 contribution, the combined cash and gift donations exceeded $36,000 in donations. Cash donations were in excess of $20,000 donated by our clients. A few agents in our office participated, having donation nights with pies for Thanksgiving to all clients who made donations, neighborhood dinners and collection evenings. Agents and clients participated in the Community Christmas shopping event where families were able to come and “shop” for Christmas.

It was an amazing event servicing almost 2,000 families in our community. Recipients were so grateful and many were brought to tears as they thanked us for helping them make Christmas a special day for their families. Donations were smaller this year and it was reflected in the need at the event. We are so thankful for the opportunity to help such a great organization and the families of our community. Thank you, Spirit of EXIT, for the additional funds.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Geri and hoped to raise $5,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however the efforts of she and her EXIT colleagues exceeded her goal and they raised $9,830.45 for a total donation of $14,830.45 to Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership.
