Associates from EXIT Real Estate Gallery with seven locations in Florida, participated in the Women’s Build initiative to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) by both raising funds and swinging hammers.
“The objective of the Women’s Build is to help break the cycle of female poverty in Jacksonville by giving two female head-of-household families the strong foundation of home ownership,” said Chris Folds, Director of Fund Development for HabiJax.
A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities, including Habitat for Humanity, and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. EXIT Real Estate Gallery used social media efforts and crowd funding to raise $2,985 which was matched by EXIT Realty Corp. International for a total donation of $5,970 to HabiJax.
“EXIT Real Estate Gallery raised funds in support of the HabiJax Women’s Build, as well provided as three days of invaluable volunteer work,” said Folds. “Their support helped HabiJax build houses for Marilyn Lewis and Teresa Simmons. Upon this foundation, these women can build a stable and self-reliant future for their families. EXIT was one of the earliest supporters of this build, and their Gold sponsorship was essential in getting both of these houses fully-funded.”
