EXIT Realty Homeward Bound held its Charity Golf Outing in support of Broome County Habitat for Humanity. EXIT Realty Homeward Bound has held this event for the past nine years, each time raising thousands of dollars that are directly donated to the local Habitat for Humanity office. In the Broome County Area, new builds are extremely limited and 80% of the homes are built before 1980. Over 100 golfers and sponsors contributed to this cause.
The funds raised were matched by EXIT Realty Corp. International’s EXIT & Habitat: Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program totaling more than $12,000. A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is pledged to its non-profit organization of choice, and to-date $3.5 million dollars has been pledged to Habitat for Humanity. Through the EXIT & Habitat: Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT Realty’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity can potentially reach every community where an EXIT office exists. EXIT Associates anywhere in North America can work in conjunction with their local Habitat for Humanity office to raise funds for a specific project or initiative and submit a proposal to EXIT Realty Corp. International for those funds to be matched dollar-for-dollar from EXIT Realty’s pledged pool of funds to Habitat for Humanity International.
In a letter received from Amy Winans, Executive Director of Broome County Habitat for Humanity, she stated, “The golf event hosted by EXIT Realty Homeward Bound is a wonderfully run tournament and something we look forward to each year. It is a fundraiser and friend maker for us. Partnering with professionals in the real estate industry is critical to our success.
“Proudly, to date, we have built homes in Binghamton, Endicott, Johnson City, Vestal and Maine. We have made, and with the continued support of donors and supporters like you we will continue to make, a positive multi-generational impact on hard-working, deserving families throughout Broome and Tioga Counties. The matching funds from EXIT Realty Corp. International will put our next project on its way. Together we are building more than houses!”
