Earlier this year, Broker/Owner, Heather Driscoll, and the sales professionals at EXIT Realty Home Partners in Lansing, MI, set aside a portion of their processing fees at each closing to benefit a local non-profit shelter, Haven House.
“Haven House provides emergency housing and support services for one-parent and two-parent families with children,” said Heather. “The shelter helps families who are homeless prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability, and financial responsibility. Families are counseled every day for a year on how to obtain employment. “
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Haven House is building a fund to assist families to put down a security deposit. If someone has a record, that deposit may be increased making it challenging for some to obtain housing. And this is where the team at EXIT Realty Home Partners directed their donations totaling $422.50. EXIT Realty Corp. International was proud to match their contribution for a total donation to Haven House of $845.
