“My group decided to go with the Adopt-a-Family Campaign because there are so many homeless children in this area and we felt like we could truly make a difference in their lives by helping to provide a joyful holiday season,” tells Irma Chavez-May, sales representative with EXIT Realty Horizons in Las Cruces, NM of why she and her fellow EXIT Associates chose to support Jardin de los Niños.
Irma and her team created ads to promote the fundraiser and provided a link for their initiative that allowed people to donate in denominations of $50, $100, $400, or $600 for specific needs or in any amount they wished to give.
“It’s heartening to hear that our community rallied behind our cause, demonstrating the power of collective support. The outreach through email, social media, and a newspaper article shows a strategic and well-rounded approach to reaching our sphere of influence. Our team’s success not only contributes to the well-being of the community but also showcases the positive impact that businesses and individuals can have when they come together for a meaningful cause,” says Irma.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Irma and her team of professionals hoped to raise $5,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded that goal and raised $6,250 for a total donation of $11,250 to Jardin de los Niños.
“Our mission at Jardin de los Niños is to create new possibilities for homeless and near homeless children and their families through loving childcare, education, and the use of community resources. Your team’s donation is supporting Jardin’s Adopt-A-Family 2023 Campaign. We could not do what we do without donors like you who continually support our children and families and help them to flourish,” said Michelle Saenz-Adames, Ph.D., CEO of Jardin de los Niños.
