“This is now my third year fundraising for Utah Honor Flight (UHF). This past month the UHF did their first ‘small business’ flight, where our funds were used to charter a flight to take Utah veterans to Washington, DC and honor them for their military service. Each year I meet new veterans and hear their stories of service. Each time I am touched by their sacrifice, and I want to continue to honor them,” James Gedge, sales representative with EXIT Realty Success in West Jordan, UT, explains why he chose this charity.
Utah Honor Flight is an incredible organization dedicated to honoring veterans by flying them to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. To encourage community involvement, James partnered with Granite Bakery, a beloved local bakery, offering a delicious pie to anyone who donated, even if it was just $1.
The response was nothing short of amazing. Through this creative and community-driven initiative, James raised $3,000. Thanks to EXIT Realty Corp. International’s generous charitable program, that amount was doubled resulting in a $6,000 total donation to Utah Honor Flights.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
