At EXIT Realty Connect, they believe in the power of community and the incredible impact that comes from working together to support those in need. This year, through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, Broker/Owner, Shelly Howe and her team raised an outstanding total of $1,450. This generous amount was then matched dollar-for-dollar by EXIT Realty, resulting in a total contribution of $2,900 to the SickKids Foundation.
Through their Fall Fling fundraiser event, hosted at Champs Family Entertainment Centre in Milton, the community came together to support SickKids in its ongoing fight for children’s health. It’s the office’s natural charity of choice because of its direct involvement in the life-saving treatments for Liam, the son of office Administrator, Deana Wilson.
“Liam’s story is a testament to the power of hope and the incredible work done at SickKids,” Shelly explained. “Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at three weeks of age, Liam’s life has been marked by both challenges and triumphs…Despite these hurdles, Liam remains a beacon of positivity. With the unwavering support of his family and the dedicated team at SickKids, he has learned to manage his condition and live a fulfilling life. The hospital’s cutting-edge therapies, specialized treatments, and compassionate care have been instrumental in his journey.”
The overwhelming generosity displayed at this event showcased the power of local initiatives, the caring spirit for which EXIT Realty is known, and Shannon Griffin, Manager of Community Events at SickKids Foundation, shared her thanks for the support saying, “Initiatives like this harness the exceptional power of community and make a real difference in the fight at SickKids. Together, we are improving the lives of children.”
It’s clear that with the help of EXIT associates like Shelly Howe, along with the match provided by EXIT Realty’s Spirit of EXIT program, this event has left a lasting impact on the children and families supported by SickKids Foundation and the groundbreaking research, innovative treatments, as well as compassionate care that transforms the lives of countless children.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
Together, we can continue to make a difference. Thank you to Shelly Howe, her team, and the community for showing that with generosity and unity, we can bring hope and healing to those who need it most.
