Many Families Receive Warm Meals Thanks to EXIT Homestead Realty Professionals and The Spirit of EXIT

The dedicated and passionate group of real estate professionals at EXIT Homestead Realty Professionals in Vineland, New Jersey, rallied to raise funds recently to feed the hungry in their community.

The fundraising initiative benefiting Manna from Heaven, a food distribution non-profit, was spearheaded by Teal Levick, Sales Representative. “I chose this charity because I have been fortunate in life to have everything I need, and I feel strongly about giving back,” she said.  “The holiday season is a time to gather with family and I feel that sending a child or adult home with food will help to cultivate a stronger home environment for our families and youth in the community.  Cumberland County has an ever-growing poverty level creating a rising need for assistance. Residents seek out local agencies that will fulfill the immediate needs they have. Manna from Heaven is one the organizations that provides this assistance at no cost to our local residents.”

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds.  The team held a raffle and solicited donations from businesses in their community as well as real estate clients and their professional sphere.  They hoped to raise $5,000 which EXIT Realty Corp. International was proud to match, but they edged past their goal, raising $5,010 for a total donation to Manna from Heaven of $10,010.

“The money given to the non-profit organization is used to purchase food items which are then bagged and given at no cost to a child or adult in need. Cumberland County currently has a poverty level of 18.8%. This is above the overall US poverty level of 11.8%. By helping to feed our community we hope to be part of the solution in the fight against hunger,” said Teal.

“I would like to thank EXIT Homestead Realty Professionals and Teal Levick for their effort to assist Manna from Heaven in feeding the needy in Cumberland and surrounding counties,” said Angelia Edwards, Executive Director of Manna from Heaven.  “By taking the initiative and using your sphere of contacts and your willingness to raise funds for a good cause, Manna from Heaven is going to help many families receive a warm meal over the holidays.  I cannot begin to thank them for such a great donation.”
