Nicole Kougl, sales representative with EXIT Preferred Realty in Bel Air, MD raised money for the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation through the Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk. “A dear friend’s mom passed away from lung cancer a few years back. She was a nurse and we work with many of her coworkers and friends every year to raise money for this foundation for cancer research and Cancer Lifenet,” Nicole tells of why she chose this specific organization.
Cancer LifeNet is a free-of-charge supportive care service offered to all residents of Harford and Cecil counties, regardless of where they receive their cancer treatment. The program is funded fully through philanthropy and is designed to help patients and their loved ones find the resources needed to balance work, family, and cancer treatment.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Nicole hoped to raise $3,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however she exceeded her goal and raised $3,295 for a total donation of $6,295 to Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation.
“Thank you for matching the fundraising efforts of Nicole Kougl. Your generous match helps UM Upper Chesapeake Health meet the healthcare needs of our community in a healing and compassionate environment, close to home,” said Geordan Sommer, Development and Communications Officer, Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation.
