Purses for Non-Profits: The Spirit of EXIT Supports the United Way of Highway 55

EXIT Realty Partners in Manchester, TN, wanted to make the greatest impact possible with their fundraising efforts, so they aligned with the United Way of Highway 55, which supports 18 local non-profits.

They decided to hold a “Power of the Purse” event where they auctioned purses, invited vendor participation and enjoyed live music. “All planning meetings took place at our EXIT Realty Partners office and our agents obtained all donations of purses and silent auction items,” said Lora Pratt-Umbarger, Broker/Owner. “There was a great turnout, and everyone enjoyed shopping at the vendor booths and bidding on silent auction items. The highlight of the night was the live auction of purses. Shouts of bids and faces full of smiles filled the theater as the auctioneers sold each purse.”

A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds.  The team at EXIT Realty Partners hoped to raise $5,000, which EXIT Realty Corp. International proudly matched, but the event exceeded their expectations, raising $6,550 for a total donation to United Way of Highway 55 of $11,550.

“We are very grateful for the partnership with EXIT Realty Partners and the Spirit of EXIT program,” said Jennifer Neel, Executive Director, United Way of Highway 55.
