Sarnia REALTORS and the Spirit of EXIT Let the Public Decide Where They Give Back

Denise Cortez, Sales Representative at EXIT Realty Twin Bridges, Brokerage in Sarnia, ON, and six of her fellow associates are all involved with different local charitable organizations. They took a creative approach to finding which charity to support; they put the choice into the people’s hands.

The 7-person team created an online poll running from March 22nd through the 26th. People could vote daily for one of 13 charities that serve the Sarnia-Lambton community and explain in a few sentences why they made their specific choice.

The poll was posted on the brokerage’s social media account with a link describing their mission as well as being further promoted on the different charities’ social feeds and in the newspaper. The public voted and Life’s Seasons Care & Support received the highest number of votes and was declared the winner of the “Selling Sarnia Donation Giveaway”. Life’s Seasons is an organization that provides services for those facing difficult times in their lives following trauma, divorce, and many other trying circumstances.

“Thank you so much for promoting your Charity Challenge Program in our community. I just want to acknowledge that as important funding programs are to sustaining Life’s Seasons and how grateful we are to receive whatever comes our way, we also recognize and appreciate the charitable spirit of kindness evident within yourself, your friends, associates, and EXIT Realty,” said Jim Miner, Executive Director of Life’s Seasons Care & Support.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Denise and the team each put forth a donation of $71.43 to be able to contribute $500 to the winning charity which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $1,000 to Life’s Seasons Care & Support.
