Why Real Estate?
I love helping people achieve their dream of home ownership. I don’t like sitting behind a desk all day; I would rather be out in the field interacting with people and creating new relationships. Real estate was perfect in the sense that I wasn’t confined to a schedule, or a task. I like the flexibility to work and not have anyone hovering over me, telling me what to do.
Why EXIT?
I was drawn to EXIT because when I initially sat down with my broker to discuss the possibility of joining, I liked what they had to offer. I liked the family-oriented atmosphere in the office. There was plenty of training and as a newbie at the time, I needed to be in an environment where agents and the staff were willing to help you learn, not just sign you up and hope that you figure it out.
Secret to Success?
It’s really no secret at all. I used to watch all the training videos that EXIT provided along with all the in-house training, which included role-playing and cold calling sessions. It helped me realize that real estate is a numbers game. It’s all about the contacts. You need to get out there and interact with people and help provide a service that buyers and sellers are looking for. I reached out to all my sphere to make sure they knew I was in real estate and asked them to refer me to anybody they knew who was looking to buy or sell.
