The agents and leadership at EXIT Realty Black Hills enthusiastically agreed to the ongoing support of Habitat for Humanity in their local community following the success of their Top Producing Agent Fundraising Initiative in 2017.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities, including Habitat for Humanity, and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. EXIT Realty Black Hills sets aside a portion of commission in their Habitat for Humanity fund and so far in 2018, they’ve raised $1,308. EXIT Realty Corp. International was proud to match that request for a total donation to Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity of $2,616.
Scott Engmann, Executive Director of Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity, describes the impact of the donation on a Habitat partner family. “Following a year of investing their sweat equity, one could see the hope in the eyes of Eddie and Tasha when they received the keys to their new home. The excitement felt by their three children was palpable as they ran through the beautiful home, explored and identified their bedrooms. A year earlier, the idea of owning a home with an affordable payment was merely a dream. Thanks to the generous support of EXIT Realty’s contribution, linked to hundreds of hours Habitat volunteer and staff time, Eddie, Tasha and their children are now settling into affordable home ownership.”
