At EXIT Preferred Realty, they lift others up and make a meaningful difference in the communities they serve. EXIT Preferred Realty in Bel Air, MD’s own associate James Ferguson exemplifies this spirit through his dedication to the Don’t Stop Believin’ Charity.
This charity was founded in honor of a close friend James lost, someone whose legacy continues to inspire generosity and hope. In its early years, the initiative focused on raising scholarship funds for graduates of Edgewood High School, where his friend once attended. As community needs evolved, so did the mission.
Today, Don’t Stop Believin’ is dedicated to providing a full Christmas experience for local families in need, families who might otherwise go without. Through partnerships with churches, school counselors, and trusted community members, families are identified and supported. Gifts are thoughtfully purchased, wrapped, and delivered based on each child’s specific needs, sizes, and interests, as shared by parents or guardians. When funds allow, gifts are also provided for parents or guardians, along with Christmas Eve dinner, ensuring the entire family feels the warmth of the season.
To support this mission, James and nine agents from The Dream Home Team of EXIT Preferred Realty hosted a Bull & Oyster Roast on October 23, featuring silent auction items, 50/50 raffles, vendors, and raffle baskets generously donated by local businesses, lenders, title companies, and fellow agents. For those unable to attend, a GoFundMe was also set up to make giving accessible to everyone.
Through these collective efforts, the initiative raised an incredible $20,022.34. With an additional $3,000 donation from EXIT Realty Corp. International, a total of $23,022.34 was proudly donated to Don’t Stop Believin’, making an even greater impact on local families during the holiday season. A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT Realty Corp. International to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
