Once again, the hard-working team at EXIT Realty of Lubbock rallied the community in support of Lubbock Habitat for Humanity.
“We hosted a fundraising dinner on July 20th with 120 guests,” said Russell McGuire, Owner of EXIT Realty of Lubbock. “The funds will be used to build a new home this September for Quenette Carrington who is a single mom of four kids. The total cost of the home is $85,000, so were able to provide over 80% of this cost in a year where their donations are severely down due to Covid-19.”
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds.
“The Lubbock chapter of Habitat for Humanity was inspired by our Habitat build in 2018,” said Russell. “Under new director, Christy Reeves, Habitat plans to build six new homes in 2020 as part of a blitz build campaign.” The Habitat team looked to EXIT Realty of Lubbock for help and they reached out to the Spirit of EXIT for support. EXIT Realty Corp. International was proud to match $10,000 of the funds raised for a total donation of more than $63,000 to Lubbock Habitat for Humanity.
