Last fall, Gina Kellum, Sales Representative, and a team from EXIT Realty Bob Lamb & Associates in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, partnered with Middle TN State University (MTSU) and their Student Organizations and Service Dept. on a Habitat for Humanity home build. “It was a beautiful day to build walls and we’re thrilled that the students and EXIT Realty volunteers were able to build all of the walls for a Habitat for Humanity house that will be finished in the spring of 2019,” said Melissa Cross, Marketing and Development Director of Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity.
In order to participate, the EXIT Realty team raised funds in the amount of $2,520 and looked to EXIT Realty’s head office for help to achieve the $5,000 sponsorship required. A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. EXIT Realty Corp. International matched the team’s fundraising efforts resulting in a donation of $5,040 to Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity.
“The walls are for a house for Anji and her daughter <the Habitat partner family who will move into the completed home> and she really enjoyed working on the Panel Build with you all,” said Cross in a letter to EXIT Realty. “She also loved that the volunteers signed the walls with love and well wishes. Those will be in her walls in her house throughout her lifetime there. Thank you again for being such a wonderful supporter of Habitat for Humanity!”
